Sarah Mitchell (she/her)

LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER

Sarah specializes in working with clients experiencing life transitions, stress, anxiety, depression, disordered eating, and body image difficulties. She provides affirming care to LGBTQIA+ and neurodiverse clients.

Sarah practices an eclectic approach to therapy that is responsive to her client’s individual concerns and needs.

She pulls from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindful Self-Compassion, Health at Every Size (HAES) approaches and Trauma-Informed Treatment with clients.

Sarah believes that no one is broken or needing of being fixed. She works with clients to identify and expand upon existing routines, relationships, and coping skills that are supporting folks. She  believes that the function of thoughts and behaviors are significant, and worth exploring if they are getting in the way of valued living for clients.

Sarah strives to create a brave space where all  parts of clients feel seen, heard, and understood.  This space is one that is anti-racist, anti-ableist, and LGBTQIA+ affirming.
